I am a finance and payments leader based in Washington, DC and New York with 20 years experience in multinational regulated environments, owning and executing on FP&A and payments strategy and delivery for a wide range of companies. I primarily design, implement, and support programs and products related to fraud and abuse, procure-to-pay, payments acceptance, accounting, and finance technology.

My work for American Express and Amazon focused on leading teams that partner with technical and business stakeholders to deliver complex outcomes, including traditional PMOs, product delivery organizations, and strategic program management. Whatever you call us, I lead with a focus on transparent customer engagement and well-defined planning.

I also work with startups, non-profits, and microbusinesses on designing simple payments architectures and implementing end-to-end payments and finance data management and governance. Some of my clients are at the vision stage, and want to set up the back end ecommerce and payables capabilities; others are struggling with their existing set-up and looking for more efficient processes.

About the marigolds…genda (गेंदा) is the Hindi word for marigold, pronounced like “gain-da” not “agenda.” In India, marigolds are a symbol of joy and prosperity; to me, Genda conveys not only auspiciousness, but pleasure in solving tricky problems.
